Merchant Center Feed Repair Within a Narrow Scope

I repaired an apparel store’s product feed and documented its maintenance. The Merchant Center account remained blocked.

The brief

Context

A new apparel store needed its Merchant Center feed repaired. Product data passed through a feed app, so changing the store alone did not prove that Google had received the correction.

Handover

What I fixed

Delivery noteDelivered Aug 2026

  1. Reconcile prices. I checked the submitted offers against the store and cleared outdated prices.
  2. Repair the mappings. I switched feed titles to SEO titles, added missing titles and mapped product attributes. I excluded service items from the feed without removing products needed by storefront apps.
  3. Write the maintenance steps. I documented the metafields to fill for new products and the separate metafield resync needed to propagate edits through the feed app.

Result

Client work Done for real clients. Client details are anonymised.

The handover recorded 43 products with outdated prices reduced to zero, with 1,577 offers reconciled line by line. Products and submitted offers are different counts.

The account-level misrepresentation enforcement remained open, and its offers were still disapproved. Feed repair did not lift that restriction or establish that ads could run.

What this means for a similar business

I check the submitted feed separately from the storefront and the account review. Correct product data is a measurable delivery; approval is a separate outcome.
